Fadi Azzam is a free lance acclaimed journalist, whose work is published regularly in Al Quds Al Arabi, daily independent Arabic news papers based in London.
Fadi was born in 1973 in Swaida in southern part of Syria.
Passionate about literature and story telling since a very young age, Fadi spend his childhood years reading and listening to the fascinating stories in his village, between the myth and reality his imagination grew deeper and writing become his life.
Fadi Azzam studied the Arabic language in the Damascus University and graduated in 1998.
Like many compatriots of his generation he was forced to leave his bellowed Damascus and settle in United Arab Emirates seeking better life.
While progressing professionally in Dubai, Fadi’s heart stayed in Damascus, taking each opportunity to praise this enchanting city though his writings.
In November 2005 Fadi Azzam published a poem of love dedicated to the city of Damascus, the poem became a cult fascination and reached thousands or readers as reported by many the web sites.
Falsely attributed to one of the most famous Arabic contemporary poets knows for his very sharp writing style and than later discovered that the writer is Fadi Azzam “ It’s Damascus, O sons of a b**** ” is one the wildest and the most beautiful poems ever written about Damascus.
Fadi Azzam published his first collection of short stories Thahtaniat in March 2010 and he is coming back with his first novel SARMADA.
